From Harvest to Bottle - Matthew James Wine

Matts start in wine was at Donati Family Vineyard (Paso Robles) pouring in the tasting room while attending Cal Poly. His interest in production brought him into the cellar and started the the journey of crafting low-volume, highly awarded wines. He moved onto J. Lohr to lead the pilot winery for two harvests before returning to Donati as Assistant Winemaker in 2012.

In 2016, Matt teamed up with Joullian Vineyards in Carmel Valley to showcase the quality of estate Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varietals that can be produced in the mountains above Monterey County.
